Why a Board and Train?

The list is endless, but some of the most valuable benefits of a board and train is the consistency that a Board and Train is able to provide. Your dog lives in-home with one of our trainers and gets the best care, communication and training, setting them up for the utmost success!

 

What sets us apart:

 

  • No stressful kennel environment. Your dog stays on-site with us, Allowing us 24-hour access to them to give them the most consistent and reliable training available. 

 

  • Our Trainers have over 10 years of experience training dogs in many venues including, rehabbing over 500 rescue dogs, Law Enforcement K9’s, AKC Obedience, PSA, IPO/IGP and more. Chances are we have seen it and can help!

 

  • Training with us means reliability, we pride ourselves in proofing all commands in multiple distractions. How many times have you said “He does/doesn’t do that at home”? Chances are, more than you would like and we can help!

 

  • While your dog stays with us they will learn core commands (on or off leash depends on package selection) such as:

    • Sit 

    • Down 

    • Place

    • Heel

    • SOLID NON-NEGOTIABLE recall

    • Kennel Training (if needed)

    • Off

    • Socialization with people, places and other dogs

  • While these core behaviors are our focal point we also add in other behaviors to set your best friend up for success! These behaviors include:​​​

    • Doorbell manners

    • Begging 

    • Jumping

    • ​Greeting guests in your home and public​

    • Entering and exiting doorways

​

2 Week Board and Train - $1,750

 

Our Board and Train clients in this program will receive two weeks of boarding and training, included with this is 2 follow-up private lessons.

Your pet will learn

  • Place 

  • Sit-stay

  • Down-stay 

  • Heel 

  • Coming when called and any other requested commands/issues all ON leash. 

​

This program DOES NOT include an eCollar, if you would like your dog to be trained on one it will be an additional $250

​

 * Deaf Dogs, Blind Dogs, and Severe aggression cases are not eligible for this program, Please call for your options.

3 Week Board and Train – $2,450

​

Our Board and Train clients in this program will receive three weeks of boarding and training, included with this is 2 follow-up private lessons. 

 

In this program your pet will learn:

  • Place (off-leash) 

  • Sit-stay

  • Down-stay (off-leash)

  • Heel 

  • SOLID recall (off-leash) ​

 

​This program is a mixture of our on and off leash package, all commands will be on-leash with the exception of recall, send to place and an emergency down. This includes a remote collar that your dog will be fully conditioned to when they return home. 

​

 * Deaf Dogs, Blind Dogs, and Severe aggression cases are not eligible for this program, please call for your options.

4 Week Board and Train - $3,250

 

Our Board and Train clients in this program will receive four weeks of boarding and training, included with this is 3-4 follow-up private lessons. 

 

Your pet will learn:

  • Place (on and off-leash)

  • Sit-stay (on and off-leash)

  • Down-stay (on and off-leash)

  • Heel (on and off-leash) 

  • Coming when called (off-leash)

 

This is our most intensive program, all dogs are off-leash trained unless otherwise discussed.

 

This is also our behavior modification package (i.e. Human aggression, severe dog aggression, bite history, etc.).

6 Week Board and Train- $5,550

 

This package is for those wanting the “full experience”. This program is with the owners of SK9, with 10+ years of experience under their belt! In this package your pet will stay in-home with us and our personal dogs (interactions depend on dog friendliness). 

 

This package will include everything the 4 week does and much more! Your pet will get 4-6 public outings with videos from each location showing you in-depth progress. You will leave with everything you need for success, so you get started the second you walk out of our door! This includes:

  • Place Cot

  • eCollar

  • Up-graded slip leash in chosen color

  • Enrichment toy from dogs stay

 

Once your dog has entered training with us you will get access to a google drive w/training documents, food recommendations, and all of your pictures and video from your updates. Upon completion of our program you will receive unlimited support, 4-6 private lessons, a freshly bathed pet and a 1-week refresher to be used at a later date!

Your dogs will stay on-site with us under 24-hour surveillance. This allows us to give them the best and most consistent training available.

 

​

All packages include any appropriate training collars.
